Come and join us! It takes a whole community to welcome a resettled family. Whether you volunteer a lot or a little of your time, each contribution will make a huge difference. Our volunteers work in one or more of the following groups:

  • Core organising committee;
  • Befriending;
  • Fundraising;
  • Accommodation;
  • Safeguarding/ welfare;
  • Education and training;
  • Publicity/ communications.

We also need interpreters so if you speak another language, we want to hear from you.

Undoubtedly the one of the most rewarding parts of the scheme will be meeting the family, befriending them, and helping them to make a home here. To that end, we will need a committed team of befrienders who will meet the family from the airport, take them to their new home and show them around the area during their first few weeks here. Befrienders will show the family local schools, amenities, GP surgeries, help the family to navigate local transport and show them the wonderful place that London is to live.

If you would like to be a volunteer or a befriender, please register your interest and let us know of any relevant skill you might have at

Our Volunteers Co-ordinator will get back to you promptly with more information about our work and will invite you to complete a  Volunteer Registration Form.  When we receive this. one of us will contact you to have an informal chat about your participation in our work.
